[ When the clock strikes midnight, there will be a soft scratching at Claude's window - thankfully it's nothing sinister. Khurshid, wearing a miniature birthday hat hovers outside, butting his head gently against the glass until he's let in. Tied around his middle with a yellow ribbon are two envelopes, each sealed with wax with the image of a stag pressed into it. There's nothing to denote the contents; one is addressed directly to him while the other simply has the number one written on it suggesting that it's probably just one of many.

He'll have to open them both to find out what they say which is something that the sender has good faith that he'll do. The first line is written in near-perfect Almyran - apparently someone has been practicing. ]

[ The first envelope is the first of twenty-seven (one for every year he's been around) and will set him on a scavenger hunt throughout most of Cadens and into the Horizon. The taskmaster seems notably absent from the loft and out of sight as he embarks on his hunt - at least until she meets up with him later that day to watch him complete the very last task. ]
