🏹 IMPORTANT CANON NOTE: Xenophobia and racism are topics woven into FE3H. One or both may come up in deeper discussions or in threads when appropriate as both are part of his backstory, but will never just be casually dropped in as Claude generally reveals very little about his past. 🌙 PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Claude is flirtatious without really meaning it the majority of the time, so he might occasionally offer up very brief physical affection while trying to charm someone. His guard tends to be up so anything being reciprocated past playfulness might throw him off balance initially while he figures out whether it's genuine. He generally won't be in someone's personal space unless he's fairly sure they don't mean him harm, and the same is true for letting someone else be physically close to him. He's also only really, truly affectionate with people he trusts above all else (think A support level at a minimum).
🌙 HUGGING: Likely to be short and just as an expression of friendship under that whole "not great with openly expressing feelings" umbrella. Expect jokes to deflect the idea there might be any real feelings attached because he's not going to admit to enjoying it even if he is.
🌙 FLIRTING: Game on! He's forever in search of someone who can trade quip for quip to one up each other, and will gladly flirt with anything that moves. If there is someone he has his sights on, he may flirt with them relentlessly which may make his attempts to get their attention seem rather insincere.
🌙 RELATIONSHIPS: Trust is a big stumbling block for Claude, and he doesn't have a whole lot of it for anyone outside of those he's come to believe in - which is a small circle of people. If someone's pursuing him, he'll play along with it but he's not inclined to believe their interest is real. A true romantic relationship isn't out of the question by any means; just know it would likely take him a while to warm up to the idea and even longer to partially, let alone fully, open up to someone. It'd definitely be a super slow burn with a lot of emotional development to get there, but once it's there he'll be all in. TL;DR while Claude might have serious misgivings about romance, I'm all for it.
🌙 PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: FE3H is set during war, so physical violence isn't out of the question and Claude won't blink an eye at it occurring around him or in passing. If directed at him, he favors self-preservation over anything else and will default to that in an attempt to diffuse the situation. That said, if we can discuss how any physical violence would be added into whatever we're writing ahead of time when not in a FE3H setting where it's a given, I would appreciate it. I'll more than likely be on board but would prefer a quick chat beforehand.
🌙 PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: No psychic abilities and also no defenses against them. Mind reading is likely fine if we can talk about it first, and I can and will provide you with info your character can use either while talking or in tags.
🌙 MANIPULATION: Godspeed if someone tries, but go for it! If someone does manage to manipulate Claude, he figures it out, and depending on what it's for/the results/etc, it may result in negative CR. I'm open to playing that out if you are, and we can either let that unfold as it may or plan it out before/after.
🌙 MAGICAL INFORMATION: Claude knows some Faith (healing magic) and Reason (attack magic) spells from his time in Fódlan. More details for both can be found on his information page.
shipping & psl preferences
🏹 I'm always up for canon or cross canon ships! However, I will only ship with characters who are 18+, even canonmates (FE3H or FE as a whole). I can also play Claude pre-timeskip upon request, just know that it'll be for gen only unless everyone is already 18+ or we're aging everyone involved up!
🏹 In terms of shipping, I love a good slow burn with lots of development for both characters especially when it comes to PSLs where we can play around with that. If it takes a while for things to turn romantic, know I'm still totally on board for all of it. Assumed CR works for me too especially in any memes - we can plot it if you'd like but we can also jump into things with what feels fitting.
🏹 For PSL plots involving FE3H, I'm open to using in-game events as a setting, playing around in the timeskip to create our own version of what went down then, or starting things off post-game and writing our own story from whatever events we choose to continue on. My preference is for PSLs that are sagas where they have an ongoing story. If we're using locked posts, I'm also good with jumping around to write different things from our PSL timeline instead of writing in a linear order of events.
My canon point for Claude is Verdant Wind, but I'm familiar with all the routes and can (and will) always play him on any of the other timelines. Don't hesitate to ask! I'm 100% in for any canon divergence whether it's in the form of combining routes, changing game events, world building for post-game, and anything and everything in between. I equally enjoy plotting and/or letting things unfold organically as we write.
